Terms of Service
Plain terms for a free app made by one person. Using Mossy means accepting them.
What Mossy is
A macOS app that reminds you to take breaks and suggests one short exercise at a time, written from a sentence you provide. It is free, with no account and no in-app purchase.
Not medical advice
This is the important one. The exercises are generated by an AI language model from a sentence you wrote. They are not reviewed by a doctor, a physiotherapist, or any medical professional, and they are not tailored to your health. They may be unsuitable for you.
Mossy is not a medical device and does not diagnose, treat, or prevent anything. Do not use it as a substitute for professional advice. If you have an injury, a condition, are pregnant, or feel any pain: stop, skip the exercise, and talk to a health professional. You perform any exercise at your own risk, and you are responsible for judging whether it is appropriate for you.
The AI writes the text
Exercise text is generated on demand and can be wrong, repetitive, or odd. There is no guarantee of accuracy, usefulness, or consistency. The app itself is hand-written software; only the exercise text is generated.
Fair use of the service
The relay that generates exercises is paid for by the developer. It applies a daily quota per installation. Do not attempt to circumvent the quota, script the endpoint, resell access, or use it for anything other than running Mossy. Doing so may get an install identifier or an IP address blocked.
Availability
The service is provided as-is, with no uptime guarantee. It may be interrupted, changed, or discontinued at any time. If the relay is unavailable, Mossy falls back to a built-in exercise so the app keeps working.
Your content
The sentence you write stays yours. It is sent to the relay and to Anthropic only to generate your exercise, as described in the Privacy Policy. It is not stored on the server and is not used to train any model.
Licence
Mossy is provided free of charge for personal and professional use. You may not resell, redistribute a modified copy, or remove its notices. The name, the artwork, and the code remain the property of the developer.
Liability
To the extent permitted by law, the developer is not liable for any injury, loss, or damage arising from use of Mossy — including from performing a suggested exercise, or from relying on the app to remind you. Nothing here limits liability that cannot legally be limited, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud. Your statutory rights as a consumer under French and EU law are unaffected.
Law
These terms are governed by French law. Disputes fall to the competent French courts, which does not deprive a consumer of the right to bring proceedings where they live.
